About Michael

I grew up in Worthington, Minnesota, and am a proud graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead. My roots are firmly planted in the Midwest, and the values of hard work, integrity, and community have guided me throughout my life and career. 

I spent 32 years with the Campbell Soup Company, where I advanced from accountant and programmer to Senior Director of Global Infrastructure Operations. My career took our family from Minnesota to North Carolina and ultimately to the company's World Headquarters in New Jersey. Along the way, I led global teams, managed complex budgets, oversaw large scale operations, and traveled extensively. 

After I retired, we chose the Cedar Rapids area because of its strong sense of community, proximity to family and friends, vibrant arts and music scene, and extensive park system. Through multiple relocations, buying and selling homes, and helping family members navigate their own moves, I developed a deep appreciation for the logistics, emotions, and financial decisions involved in real estate. 

Today, I bring extensive experience in financial analysis, contract details, budgeting, relocation logistics, and strategic decision making to every client relationship. I understand that buying or selling a home is one of life's most significant decisions, and my goal is to provide steady guidance, clear communication, and practical solutions throughout the process.
